The Process
The Quorum bioreactor is filled with a packing media of high specific surface area. Bacteria, and other microbes gets attach to the packing media and forms biofilms. The biofilms breaks down the pollutants in the wastewater. The pollutants can be organic carbon, and nitrogen compounds and phosphorus. The Quorum is a modern form of non-submerged fixed film bioreactor.
